A Sober Companion’s or sober coaches primary purpose is to assist and support adults and adolescents who seek, need and must maintain daily abstinence. We are committed to the process of helping our clients improve their quality of life, build healthy coping skills and experience lasting freedom from chemical dependency.

We also offer assistance for people struggling with various mental health disorders such as; bipolar disorder, schitzophrenia, substance use disorders, co occurring disorders or dual diagnosis conditions, eating disorders, sex addictions, anxiety disorders, major depression, gambling addictions, behavioral health concerns, etc. We pride ourselves on going the extra mile and treating every individual with dignity, respect and responsible support.

More About Sober Companions

With such a diverse need for services, our Sober Companions are available in all 50 States and internationally. They are able to work one-on-one with a client on an hourly basis such as; attending a specific event, appointment or meeting, as an escort to and from a residential treatment program or detox facility, or as a daily, weekly and monthly live-in.

Along with the presence of a trusted Sober Companion, we can provide progress reports, work in conjunction with treatment centers and schedule clinical oversight with qualified therapists and psychiatrists.

We also have a vast network of relationship partners that includes a Board Certified Physician, Defense Attorney, Mental Health Attorney, Nutritionist, Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer, Yoga Instructor and other professionals from various fields.

Each team member’s goal is to provide the highest standard of care and promote successful long-term recovery. We work directly with our clients to re-engage in their career, a favorite hobby, sport or interest in order to develop and maintain a healthier lifestyle.

Replacing drug-using activities with constructive and rewarding non-drug-using activities is an essential component of our philosophy. Adhering to a balanced approach for daily living we strive to bring alignment to the lives of those we serve.

Sober companions trained professionals with a deep understanding of the stakes involved and unique opportunity we are afforded to help you or your loved one. Client’s, family members, agents and doctors are encouraged to call for our assistance prior to or after someone has been to detox or rehab. People struggling with a history of relapse or someone who wants to further ensure their recovery will benefit tremendously.

Anyone returning home from treatment unaided will be met with stressors and triggers. Having a sober companion nearby improves the outcome that relapse will not occur. Common pitfalls many encounter when engaging or re-engaging back into their lives are reduced and recovery is amplified as the sober companion picks up where rehabs leave off.

Drug Intervention, Alcohol Intervention

There are three primary types of Sober Companions:

Sober Escort/Companion: Is someone who gets a client from point A to point B and usually isn’t needed for more than a 72 hour period.

Sober Coach/Sober Companion: Is someone who generally spends a certain amount of time with a client on a daily or weekly basis to reinforce their recovery. Sober Companion/Coaches are dynamic individuals that have the ability to work with various substance use disorders. They provide much needed mental health recovery support to address coping skills and many life challenges. Their encouragement is profound. A sober coach may also be brought in to attend a specific life event such as; an awards dinner, family or business engagement, etc.

Sober Companion: Is someone who is with a client 24 hours a day, 7 days a week lasting anywhere from one month to one year. They also do something called shifting or step down phases where the sober companion will do five days on – two days off – and other companions are rotated in. Their assistance is so helpful that we encourage you to seriously consider having a sober companion help you as you navigate your recovery.

How much do these services cost?

Sober Transport or sober escort rates are based on the location, logistics and type of travel assistance needed. In order to discuss the costs of this service, we suggest you contact us, as the rates vary according to what’s involved.

Sober Coaches are usually paid an hourly rate and can range from $100 per hour to $150 per hour.

Sober Companions that live with their client for a period of time are $800 to $1200 a day. The longer the term – the lower the cost.

How does the whole process work?

The first step is for the client and/or authorized agent to contact us so we can discuss the situation and mutually decide what services would best fit the client’s needs. Every person receives an assessment and individualized plan that is designed to enhance their recovery and promote a healthy lifestyle.

How does a client get matched up with a coach?

Pairing of clients with sober escorts, sober transports, sober companions and sober coaches is based on gender, compatibility, type of substance use disorder(s) and medical necessity.

What happens when the sober companion or sober coach arrives at their client’s home?

Companions and coaches are prepared to do a clean sweep of the house and safety proof the environment for the client. Every effort is made to ensure the client’s well being is protected, so removing substances, contraband or items that may endanger the client’s recovery are responsibly cleared away.

A schedule may be discussed and introduced and started so objectives, goals and an organized plan for structured daily living is achieved. The groundwork and relationship building occurs seamlessly as our companions and coaches are well suited for living and being in close proximity with their client.
